Please be part of an extraordinary evening brought to you by the Center for the Study of Transformative Lives at NYU. Center Director Philip Kunhardt will introduce Pulitzer Prize winning professor Eric Foner of Columbia University who will present an important new lecture entitled “Abraham Lincoln and the End of American Slavery.” He will be examining Lincoln’s transformations on slavery and race, and the relationship between individual and social agency in bringing about social change. The program and reception will take place at 20 Cooper Square, seventh floor, and is co-sponsored by NYU’s Biography Seminar and the Humanities Initiative of NYU.
